What We Do
Emerson Endeavors is my business, which serves as a holding company for future business acquisitions. I buy (or partner with) local, profitable, operationally stable businesses for fair market value. This is far from Private Equity, and aim to continue to operate our businesses responsibly, while improving operations and profitability.
Who We Help
As mentioned, we buy (or partner with) local, profitable and operationally stable business. Typically, this means the businesses are 10+ years old, have a general manager in place (or a team member to assume the role) and revenue between $1 million – $5 million/year. However, I happily consider deals outside these parameters on a case by case basis.
What To Expect
They say “you can’t do a good deal with a bad partner”, and we aim to make sure our visions are aligned with our selling partners. You can expect the selling process to take 2-3 months, which gives us plenty of time to feel comfortable with one another!
Values
This is far from Private Equity. We’re not a chop-shop looking to disassemble an already outstanding business. As a business owner who has had a successful exit, I know how life changing and meaningful it can be, for both oneself and their family. A large part of the decision to work with that company (AvantStay) was to ensure the price is fair, the team stays in place, and our clients are not disrupted. Their sterling execution on that promise is something I share and carry with our acquisitions.

How Can We Help?
Option 1: Selling Your Business
Everything good must come to an end, and you may be at the point of your journey where selling makes the most sense. If you’re looking to sell, or considering selling, we’d love to have a conversation about what that might look like. As mentioned above, we’re not private equity and our goal is to build on the successes you’ve already achieved. If you’re open to a conversation, please reach out to me directly (below).
Option 2: Adding a Growth Partner
If you are not considering selling but you would consider a business partner, we may be a good fit! With the Growth Partner route, you’d be adding myself as a partner, helping to professionalize your business as well as grow it to the next level. This is a unique offering, and one in which requires further explanation, which can be learned here or by reaching out to me directly (below).

Frequently Asked Questions (Buying)
Please Note – there is also a FAQ section on the Partnering Page
Q: How long does the process take?
A: Usually between 3-6 months, depending on how quickly the Seller can mobilize and get documents
Q: What is your deal size?
A: Typically we look to buy businesses within the SBA Loan Limits, which is up to $5 million. On the low end, there isn’t a “size” we wouldn’t consider, however, we would want to see some type of manager in place to help keep operations in place.
Q: How far away would you consider buying a business?
A: Having managed a business in the Poconos (100 miles) it introduced a lot of challenges to efficiently managing a team. Having said that, I would ideally be 45 minutes away so I can be hands-on with the business. This would include Philadelphia suburbs, Philadelphia as well as many areas of southern NJ.
